of yesterday's response. and today another of the dead was identified. 29-year-old krystle campbell of medford, massachusetts. >> everybody that knew her loved her. she loved her job. she had a heart of gold. she would always smile. you couldn't ask for a better daughter. i can't believe this has happened. >> reporter: allen panzer, a north carolina emergency room physician, was waiting for his wife to cross the finish line. he saw the explosion and attended to the most seriously wounded. >> it was blast injuries to the lower extremities for the most part. one gentleman had no legs below the knees. >> reporter: investigators say the bombs were placed among the crowd down the block from each other, detonating just over ten seconds apart. officially, it was back to business in most of boston today. but reminders are everywhere that things are not back to normal. >> you see people, and their faces are really sober, just walking around. it's kind of an eerie feeling in the air. >> reporter: today runners were able to return to the route to collect belongings that were left in the haste of yesterda

and 29-year-old krystal campbell of medford, massachusetts. >>> a young blast victim from the bay area today is undergoing surgery. 11-year-old aaron hern from martinez is still in intensive care in a boston hospital. he was just six feet away from the blast, waiting for his mother to cross the finish line when the explosions went off. take a live look at martinez junior high. that's where his classmates have actually started a collection to help the family pay for medical expenses. about an hour ago, aaron hern's father spoke to nbc news about his son's ordeal. christie smith will bring you that story in about ten minutes. >> a follow-up on a story we have been covering since yesterday morning. at&t now says all cell phone service and internet service has been row stored in the morgan hill and gilroy areas. crews have been working throughout the night to try to repair a fiber optic cable after somebody cut that line early yesterday morning. investigators say the vandal then fired a rifle at a pg&e substation, that caused a big-time oil leak in one of the transformers. this morning, sh

campbell and richard martin were killed. >> reporter: good morning, richard. let's talk about the investigation first. the authorities have been vesting photographs, images from anybody in the public. it appears that is now paying off, perhaps the most successful images coming from a security camera at lord & taylor across the street from the finish line. but those images show what appears to be somebody taking duffel bags and placing them at the spot where the bomb exploded. so there's a major focus of attention on those pictures trying to analyze them to see if they can then lead to who may indeed be a suspect. meantime, as you mentioned the president will be making a visit here to boston for an interfaith memorial service. the president will be joined here by so many bostonians. of course, one of the concerns, security has, because it's another large gathering if somebody would have tried to do something. they've told folks if they're gathering, they may not bring bags, backpacks. they should come with a few things, maybe a phone in their hand, but not much more. that's 11:

in milpitas, campbell, 62 in my hometown. look at the forecast for the day, the bad news out of the way off the bat, pollen levels will be higher next couple of days. otherwise we're looking spectacular. weather here envy of the entire nation with mid-70s on the way today and high pressure holding strong for saturday. that means temperatures will be just about as warm for the first part of the weekend. nice mild conditions. a little bit of a breeze tomorrow. then it starts to get really unstable. what we call an inside slider, a weather system moving into the bay area. for us that means we're going to see pretty windy conditionsoon sunday. stop the clock future cast at 5:p.m. hot pinks, reds, wind event on the way to the bay area. this one impact the immediate coast and higher elevation where we lack that friction. keep winds in the forecast for late sunday early monday starting to see winds drop off as we head into second half of monday afternoon. look at these numbers, guys. looking so good for saturday. be in the 60s for sunday. what i can tell you is next week overall looking nice and m
